every afternoon and on appointment
small, intimate sales room on the ground floor with bookshelves reaching all the way up to the ceiling. Le Bateau Livre translates into the book ship. In one of the shop windows, displayed under a glass showcase, you can admire what most likely gave the shop its name: a wood model of the French frigate La Belle Poule, dating back to Napoleonic times - assembled by the shop owner himself. Another small, intimate room with high bookshelves can be found on the first floor, the attic floor. The ceiling here reaches a height of up to 5 metres (visible roof beams)
the village street passes in front of the book shop, however, the level of traffic is rather modest
the antiquarian book shop is located in the heart of Vigy, a small village of roughly 1200 inhabitants. Le Bateau Livre is surrounded by other little houses and shops
