Lichtspiele Wadern, cinema
Historical screening room with 120 seats. The building has been used as a cinema since the end of World War I. After it had to close down in 2011, a non-profit association resumed the service. The screening room, which is located on the first floor, can be reached via staircase with step lights. Although the seating (in part with tables and globe-shaped lamps) and some of the furnishings were put in place in 1990, the design can easily pass for earlier periods, and the cinema can therefore be used in productions portraying the pre-1990s. Tickets and refreshments are sold in the screening room. Due to its look and style, reminiscent of a bygone era, the building interior and the façade with its vintage neon lettering can be used as a location for pre-2000/pre-1990s pieces.
