Öttinger Schlösschen

description

brève description:

Built in 1759 by Earl Anton von Oettingen-Sötern, the baroque villa is named Oettinger Schlösschen (literally Oettinger's little chateau) after its resident. After the end of feudal rule in 1794, the building fell in private hands and was last used as a pharmacy. When Wadern became a municipality in 1978, it acquired the villa, completely reconceived, remodeled and transformed it into a museum, which offers exciting insights into 2.500 years of local history.
